Yes, you can get chicken pox twice. Once vaccinated, this is essentially the same thing. It&#039;s a rare occurrence, though. Patients w/shingles shed virus before &amp; after eruptions. So yes, they can still be contagious. I&#039;d advise you to get the Varicella vaccine.
